Lucas Chance followed in the footsteps of his brother Randy by moving to Prince George in 2000. He came to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ at the age of 16 and has been an integral part of Westside Family Fellowship since arriving here. Lucas and his wife Ashley are parents of two sons, J.J. (Joshua) and Grady. After serving in many volunteer capacities he came on staff as an assistant Pastor in March of 2021. In April of 2023 the Elders asked him to take on the role of Lead Pastor.
Marlene Beck served as administrative assistant at Westside Family Fellowship from 1985 until retiring in 2019. Currently she manages our bookkeeping on a part time basis. Marlene and her late husband Jerry have been married for more than 41 years. Son, Darrell and his wife, Jenn along with their children, Liam and Kaitlin reside in Prince George, BC. Daughter, Beverly, her husband Tony and their children Kaden, Jasmine, and Levi currently reside in Dawson Creek, BC.
Tom studied and got his Bachelor of Theology at a school that was later merged into Trinity Western University. His wife Evelyn and he then went to serve with Wycliffe Bible Translators for a short time before he started his career in Forestry IT.
They came to Prince George in 2015 where Tom works for Canfor. Since coming here, God renewed a call on Tom’s life to teach. He has since written two books and been asked to share his wealth of Bible knowledge by preaching at Westside. He’s looking forward to the day when he can retire from forestry and give more time to serving in the Body of Christ in Prince George and wherever God opens doors for him.
Randy Chance was born and raised on Vancouver Island before moving to Prince George in 1998. Love God and love people.

He continues to relate to the leaders of Westside Family Fellowship in an advisory capacity. He is also involved with Chapel services at the Prince George Chateau and Riverbend Seniors Community. Pastor Arlo’s passion for truth continues to overflow into writing, as he has published 7 books, at last count!! Pastor Arlo is also the founder and past Chairman of the Board of Emmaus House; a provider of assisted living home for seniors in Prince George. He and Glenna have been married for over 62 years. George surrendered his life to Christ in January 1974 (the day after his 21st birthday) – a journey that continues to this day. Shortly after their marriage in 1978 George and Frieda moved to Prince George for a short stay of two or three years. Instead, they’ve been here ever since, raising three daughters (Melisa, Angelina & Jessica) and putting down deep roots in both the city and church community. His career in broadcasting as both a radio announcer and commercial copywriter and producer prepared him for his current ministry in church communications at Westside. George loves the Bible and he loves Truth and finds comfort in knowing that the Bible is a book filled with truth.

Thank you for taking time to check out our website. Whether it’s your first time or you’ve recently become part of the family, we want to welcome you and also help you look for ways to get more connected and involved.
Westside Family Fellowship stands firmly in the mainstream of historical Christianity. It takes the Bible as its all-sufficient source of faith and practice and subscribes to the historic creeds of the universal Church and thus its Tenets of the Faith and their accompanying scripture references are to be understood per the historical, orthodox, and traditional meanings.
Westside values relationships. We seek to give opportunity for the expression of community through various kinds of small groups, ministries and events. Through community, we endeavor to help individuals to develop and to grow spiritually. We also have a passion to support and equip families. We will often offer marriage enrichment and parenting events throughout the year.
Small Groups have always been a part of Westside. Twice a year, in September and February we offer a variety of small groups. We have general fellowship groups that focus on mutual encouragement and spiritual development. Other groups focus on Bible study and other equipping type tools. Other small groups concentrate on a particular ministry or service.
At Westside we are blessed to have a wide representation of all ages. That can certainly be seen at our regular Sunday morning services where young adults, families and children, and older adults, gather all together. We are fortunate to have talented worship teams that lead the congregation in contemporary praise and worship. We are a charismatic church that seeks to be lead by the Holy Spirit and give room for His leading and for the gifts of the Spirit to be manifested. In the preaching time, we endeavor to honor God’s word and to preach in a way that is life giving and applicable to everyone.
We also have ongoing special events that we have throughout the year that have proven to be very impactful.
Our annual men’s retreat occurs each February at Galvin Lake. Men gather for a full weekend together and enjoy rich fellowship, and deep sharing with one another. Each year men come away encouraged, inspired, and transformed.
In May the whole church gathers at Chubb Lake Bible Camp during the Victoria Day long weekend. This is an event for the entire family. In this beautiful and rustic location the whole family can enjoy recreational activities of all kinds. It has proven to be such a rich time of families relating with one another and being challenged with times of worship and the Word.
The women meet each October at Ness Lake Bible Camp. They meet for a full weekend and have experienced wonderful times of deep sharing and ministering to one another. This too has proven to be very impactful for all who participate.
At Christmas we transform our auditorium in order to enjoy a beautiful banquet together. We come together at the Christmas season to enjoy inspiration and great food. The fun and laughter that has been experienced during these times are legendary.
Finally, a ministry that has been an integral focus for our church since the beginning is Westside Academy. Bringing redemption to culture through character transformation and intellectual development, our K-12 school has served our church and the community well for over 30 years.
