Faythe Chance – YWAM DTS Report

Above you can see some of my outreach team – Brooklyn, Dani, and Eryn

Dear Westside Family,

As some of know, I left Prince George on January 5th for my Youth With A Mission (YWAM) Discipleship Training School (DTS).  There are about 55 students in the DTS which is called “Awaken” and it’s located on the beautiful (Big) island of Hawaii.

In the beginning, it was a little intimidating and overwhelming. I didn’t know anyone but everyone was really friendly and I now have several friends. I have also settled into my room which I share with a number of other girls and routine rather well.

The weather has been very nice and sunny (of course! It’s Hawaii!), but right now we are in the middle of a storm so it can be quite rainy.

My days are rather busy. We have breakfast from 6:30 to 7 on weekday mornings, and then we have classes from 8am to 8:30pm most days with lunch and dinner in between. We have the weekends off to do whatever we want, and it has been fun to explore the island on those days.

I have learned so much during my time here. God is faithful and forgiving, and He loves all of us more deeply than we can possibly imagine.

My outreach team is going to the Philippines. It would be amazing if you would pray for the people we are going to in the Philipines, that they would have softened hearts to hear the message of God, and for the Outreach Team in general because we are the smallest and an “all girls” team.

Thank you all so much for your support and prayers!
