LIGHTHOUSE EDUCATIONAL CENTRE – BADULLA 2022 UPDATE

Computer Classes are being carried-out successfully with 35 students this year. The students from Grade 5 to Grade 10 are participating in this Certificate course. Most of the children touch and experience the computer for the first time in our class. Hope all of them will be qualified for awarding in the month of July 2022.

English and Sinhala Language classes are also restarted on 18^th of January for the year 2022. For these classes 30 new students joined us. Altogether, 67 are coming around the church community. This is for Pre-school to Advanced Level students. I wish to inform you that 7 students from our classes have passed the Ordinary Level language examination with Credit pass.

For the Sewing Vocational training program 14 under-privileged ladies are participating, they need 2 more Months to complete the course. Under this program we have commenced a self-supporting project to aid the needy ladies and widows to be advantaged by stitching and selling women’s garments at the nearby villages and markets.
